Very dirty. No system at all.
They kept on waiting a lot.
No place to sit. Next visit is after ten days where as the medicine is only for three days.

Pathetic behavior of female doctors (similar to other government hospitals), asking you to get of.not doing any proper examination of patients.if they are that much scared of contagious skin diseases they must have to wear special protective safety clothings but do proper examination.many doctors there at a time but there is only 1 place for ointment distribution (one need to wait 3 hour in line to get this ointment).
i dont know how some of the above comments mentioning good experience doctors there? Could someone mention names of good doctors there who behaves well?

The Sindh Institute of Skin Diseases (Urdu: سندھ ادارہ برائے امراضِ جِلد) known as Skin Hospital or Chamra Hospital (Urdu: چمڑہ ہسپتال) is a 50-bed dermatological hospital. It is the only public sector skin hospital in Karachi and is located in the Regal Chowk area.
This hundred-bed hospital specializes in skin diseases exclusively. It does not charge any fees for services and is governed by the Government of Sindh Province. Over 4,000 outpatients visit the hospital daily.

The hospital has a minor operation theater that is used for surgical procedures like excision and biopsies. The pathology laboratory has a facility for routine blood tests along with other special tests like fungal scraping, Tzanck smear, LD bodies, tests for syphilis, hepatitis B and C virus, HIV serology—all performed free of charge.

Procedures like electric cauterization, chemical cautery and cryotherapy are also performed. A facility for light therapy is also available.

The head of the hospital in 2018 was Iqbal Soomro.

The site where the hospital has been located since Pakistani independence was before 1947 a centre for treatment of socially transmitted diseases. After 1947, it was converted to a centre for skin and social hygiene and treatment of lepers. The 50-bed hospital for treatment of skin diseases was established in the 1990s.

This place is heaven on earth for patients suffering from skin diseases. Doctors treat patients with care.

No hygine, lot of rush people wait in lanes must be extended or creat more skin hospital in different areas of province n city. Building condition doctors rooms were deterioated

There are different rooms of doctors with huge lines.
OPD and medicines are free of cost, they are giving multinational companies medicine.

One thing doctor is not giving proper attention to patients even if they are not looking at your disease they just say ye khalo ye krlo bs.

Very pathetic service, so much crowd, and mismanagement of the staff. Need much much better infrastructure.
Even Doctors are very much rude they behave like people are begging.

Although there was a great rush of people with all aspects of life.but overall satisfied with the place

Al tho the maintainance of the hospital is not well but major sops are still followed and the doctors are expert in their work.

Sindh Institute of Skin Disease Karachi is the one of the ancient, well versed institutes that is facilitating the people with skin diseases.
Here OPD and medicines are free. The quality of doctors and the way they are treating is matchless. The medicines which are being given to patients are of high quality and are the best companies in the country. Credit goes to the Sindh Government.

The hospital management has adopted the great system of serving patients on a first come first serve basis. There is no Sufaresh.

May Almighty Allah do good with hospital management, staff and Government of Sindh

Its an advice to all those who are going to this hospital try to be there by 7: 45am so that you can get a chance to visit doctor soon.
Token time starts at 9am.

I also visited the hospital for infection at my feet.it was not recovering since a long time. Alhamdilillah it recovered due to best staff and qualified doctors.recommended for all

Timing is 9 a.m to 1 p.m. Sunday closed, also closed on 4 April 2022 on Bhutto Martyrdom anniversary.

So disappointed doctors are so unprofessional they don’t even listen to you don’t like to look at the patients condition. The are like ok ok take this My son was suffering from allergy took him there I will not recommend anyone with serious condition to visit this place.

کراچی کے قلب صدر میں واقع جلدی امراض یہ ہسپتال عوام الناس میں چمڑا ہسپتال کے نام سے معروف ہے۔ انتہائی قابل اور شعبہ جلدی امراض کے مشہور ماہرین اس ہسپتال میں عوام کی خدمت کے لیے موجود ہوتے ہیں اس ہسپتال کے اوقات کار پیر سے جمعرات صبح ساڑھے آٹھ سے دوپہر ڈیڑھ بجے، بروز جمعہ صبح ساڑھے آٹھ سے پونے بارہ دوپہر اور اتوار تعطیل ہوتی ہے۔ یہاں کا علاج مکمل طور پر مفت ہے اور انتہائی پیچیدہ امراض میں مبتلا مریض بھی مکمل شفایابی کے ساتھ یہاں سے جاتے ہیں.
Government Hospital for Skin Diseases is located at Saddar, Karachi near Regal Chowk. There are number of experienced Doctors who look after thousands of patients daily. It's a welfare hospital and totally free of charge.

I have also twice in last three years. Doctors are behaving very rudely. They don't listen the patient for symptoms and history.
Medicines are free but person at the counter are cheating and paracetamol tablets instead of anti allergy tablets.

They have written that its open 24 hours on sunday! Buts its closed today
