BEST architect, without a single piller inside a mosque doom

Built in 1969 and still its a masterpiece, one of the most beautiful structures in Pakistan. It has the largest dome in Pakistan has no supporting pillars.
Huge capacity of Namazis. Including lawns, internal and external areas is approx 30,000.

Beautiful grand Tooba Mosque with huge doom without any pillars or supporting structure. Beautiful and cozy environment outside also which is beautifully designed.

Masjid-e-Tooba, also known as the Tooba Mosque, is a prominent mosque located in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi, Pakistan. It is considered to be one of the largest single-dome mosques in the world.

Masjid-e-Tooba was designed by Pakistani architect Dr. Babar Hamid Chauhan and was completed in 1969. The mosque's most distinctive feature is its large single dome, which has a diameter of 72 meters (236 feet) and is supported by no central pillars. This architectural design allows for an unobstructed prayer area inside the mosque.

The mosque can accommodate up to 5,000 worshippers in its main prayer hall, and an additional 1,000 people in its courtyard. It serves as a popular place of worship for both residents and visitors in Karachi.

Masjid-e-Tooba holds significant religious and cultural importance for the local Muslim community. In addition to daily prayers, the mosque is often used for Friday congregational prayers (Jumu'ah) and other Islamic gatherings.

The mosque's location in the Defence area of Karachi makes it easily accessible for residents and visitors in the vicinity. It is known for its serene ambiance and beautiful surroundings, providing a peaceful environment for worshippers.

Mosque was actually closed for any visitors. They are not properly lighting up the mosque during prayer times as well. One bulb for complete mosque.
Visited this place few days back, there should be proper prayer area for women as well.reason Unknown.

I my child 1988 we used go their for Quran studies by Qari Hilal Sb, at that time its was very well maintained by DHA, after long time I have visited again in year 2021, found not in very good condition, not well maintained, grass n plants getting dried and وضو place is dirty, fences broken

طوبٰی مسجد پاکستان کے شہر کراچی میں واقع ایک خوبصورت مسجد جو  گول مسجد کے نام سے بھی جانی جاتی ہے۔ یہ مسجد 1969ء میں کراچی کی ڈیفنس ہاؤسنگ اتھارٹی میں تعمیر کی گئی۔ یہ کورنگی روڈ کے قریب واقع ہے۔ مسجد طوبیٰ غالباً واحد گنبد کی حامل دنیا کی سب سے بڑی مسجد ہے۔ یہ کراچی کے اہم سیاحتی مقامات میں سے ایک ہے۔ مسجد طوبیٰ کو خالص سفید سنگ مرمر سے تعمیر کیا گیا ہے۔ اس کے گنبد کا قطر 72 میٹر  (236 فٹ) ہے اور یہ بغیر کسی ستون کے صرف بیرونی دیواروں پر کھڑا ہے۔ مسجد طوبیٰ کا واحد مینار 70 میٹر بلند ہے۔ عبادت گاہ کے مرکزی وسیع و عریض کمرے میں 5 ہزار نمازیوں کی گنجائش ہے۔

However the open area of Masjid and ablution are need to good maintenance.

It is very beautiful, calm & quite worshipping place for Muslims.

It is also very good place for picnic, with whole family because of it's quite and safe family atmosphere.

It is one of oldest historical, religious place, with unique structure, it's Dome is the largest in the world.and it could be consider as a modern wonder of the worlds.because whole mosque body (structure) is based on its only Dome which is not only the Dome of the mosque, as is a traditional religious symbolic style for mosques in Indo- Pakistan, but the same Dome is the building (structure of the mosque).

It's construction was commenced in 1966 which was completed in 1969.by McDonald Layton and Constain, Karachi.

It's area is 5,570 square yards, whereas built up area is 35,312 square feet.

Diameter of Dome is 212 feet with 51.48 feet height, with Mirrors in Foam.

It contains 70,000 Concrete Tiles.and 768,000 Onyx Pieces on the retaining walls.

It's Minaret is 120 feet high.

More than 43,000 persons can say prayers here. 5,000 in the Dome, 38,000 in Terrace and Lawns.

One of the Beautiful Masjid. If you want to see something antique in Karachi then visit this masjid which has no pillars to hold the roof.

Tooba Mosque is a beautiful mosque in Karachi This mosque is also known as the Goal Mosque This mosque is located at a distance of 3 km from Karachi Cantt station this mosque is opened For the public At 1: 00pm

Visited on 24 sept, 2021 for jumma prayers. First azan was given at 1: 15 pm, urdu speech was started at 1: 30 pm, sunah prayer time was not given after urdu speech so better to pray sunnah before urdu speech, arabic khutba started at 1: 57 pm and jummah prayer started at 2: 07 pm.

Excellent and peaceful place to worship, must visit and see place for tourist because it's national heritage and very unique construction.

The carpets inside mosque need washing and the surroundings should be kept in tidy condition! Why can't the mosque's management motivate and raise a volunteers group for this purpose?

Beautiful! Huge! Mesmerizing! Masjid is mammoth in size and the beautiful dome with no pillars looks surreal. The design looks one of a kind. A must visit place if you're in town.
